Jono is a founding member of The Kind Lawyers.
An award-winning lawyer and co-founder the multi-award-winning law firm, Balance Family Law, Jono is an advocate for practicing law with good sense, clarity and a firm focus on solutions.
Jono’s practices in both Family Law and Estate Planning, and has completed collaborative practice training in both areas. He has completed a Masters in Applied Law (Estate Planning) and was awarded Best Graduating Student in Estate Planning.
Jono has been exposed to a kinder, more collaborative way of practicing law since his admission, and feels drawn to continue to practice in that way. He believes that even in circumstances where there is high conflict and high stress, there is an opportunity for people (lawyers and clients) to work together to find an outcome that benefits everyone, or at least disadvantages no-one, as far as it is possible to do so.
When Jono isn't practicing law, he is teaching it. As an adjunct lecturer at the College of Law, he provides knowledge and key learnings to his students. Jono has always said that if he wasn't a lawyer, he'd be a teacher so is excited to merge these two passions, and help prepare the next generation of kind lawyers.
Jono is also a lego enthusiast and shows remarkable skill when it comes to baking!
